A: Yes. Per Section 2 of Town Ordinance #2017-14: Any such burning of leaves, tree branches and yard trimmings shall ONLY be allowed on the first and third Saturdays of each month and the first and third Wednesdays of each month beginning November 1st of each year through the following March 31st. NO such open burning of leaves, tree branches and yard trimmings is allowed from April 1st through October 31st of each year.

Q: What is ReWa?

A: Renewable Water Resources is a wastewater treatment facility. All wastewater from West Pelzer is sent to ReWa for proper treatment. The ReWa charge on your water/sewer bill is sent directly to ReWa each month.

A: Every in-town customer will receive a 96 gallon Waste Industries cart; it must be curbside by 5A.M. each Thursday to be serviced. Waste Industries will also collect up to 3 additional bags of garbage outside of their cart OR 1 other cart with bagged items in it.

Automatic Draft: Payments can be made by automatic draft, which is set up to automatically withdraw your bill amount on the bill due date each month. This is set up using a debit or credit card of your choice. To set up automatic draft, fill out the form provided here: (Automatic Draft Authorization Form) and return it to us via our drop box, by mail, or bring it by the office in person during our regular business hours. You also have the option of setting up automatic draft for your account over the phone (864-947-6297).

Online: Using our online bill payment page, you may make your water/sewer bill payments using a debit or credit card.

Drop-Box: Payments may be left in a sealed envelope along with the right-hand side of your bill stub in our drop box, located in front of the O’Dell Community Center at 3 Hindman Street. The drop box is checked daily, Monday – Friday.

Mail: Payments can be mailed in to our office. Please include the right-hand side of your bill stub along with your payment. Please have all mailings sent to the following:

Q: Are reservations required for the use of Chapman Park?

A: No. Chapman Park is free to use on a first come, first serve basis.

Q: Are reservations required for use of the O’Dell Community Center?

A: Yes. A reservation form along with reservation information can be found here: (Odell CC Reservation Form_2018) or picked up at town hall during our regular business hours. A key to the building may be picked up no sooner than the Thursday prior to your event at 8A.M. or as late as the Friday prior to your event at noon. After your event, the key may be left in the drop box in front of the O’Dell Community Center or brought back in person to town hall no later than the Monday following your event at noon.

Q: What are the rates for reserving the O’Dell Community Center?

  • Resident Rates – $25 half day / $50 full day
  • Non-Resident Rates – $50 half day / $100 full day
  • Deposit fee (for all rentals) – $50

The deposit fee will be returned to you after your post-event inspection, as long as there is no damage to the building or to any of its interior contents, and as long as there is no significant cleanup required.

We ask that all payments for the O’Dell Community Center be paid either in cash or in two separate checks (one for your rental fee, one for the deposit fee),  so that we can get your deposit fee back to you as quickly and easily as possible.
