The GRAND Gallery, A Contemporary Art Venue in West Pelzer; Exceptional Emerging Artists from Anderson University

The Town of West Pelzer’s GRAND Gallery, located at 30 Main Street in West Pelzer, SC, celebrates those who have made contributions to Upstate culture and supports emerging young artists by sharing their work with the public. The gallery takes advantage of West Pelzer’s position between Greenville and Anderson and seeks to celebrate artists from both communities while encouraging cross-pollination. The series of invitational exhibitions was conceived of by founding director and local artist, Andy Gambrell, and is supported by Mayor Blake Sanders.

In keeping with the GRAND Gallery’s mission of recognizing emerging talent in our region, gallery director, Andy Gambrell, visited the studios of fine art majors at Anderson University. After critiquing the work of many wonderful young artists, he curated a selection of paintings by five exceptional students. This exhibition features a selection of some of the most promising emerging art produced in Upstate South Carolina.

The Town of West Pelzer will recognize selected Fine Art Majors from Anderson University on June 4, 2019 at 6:00pm at the regularly scheduled council meeting in The Grand Gallery. A reception will follow the council meeting. Anderson University’s art will be on view from June 4th through July 26th by appointment during regular business hours.
